I was under the impression that there was more of a conflict between Whites and Hispanics in Arizona. A decade ago AZ shocked the country with the "Show me your papers" law (signed by Jan Brewer) that was deemed openly racist. More recently Blake Masters, the Trump-endorsed Senate candidate, also came under fire for some strong anti-immigrant rhetoric.
Anyway, none of these are good places to live. People have no roots, the climate is too hot (particularly for Whites), and there are deranged nutcases like the one who shot up Gabby Giffords.
