On domestic issues I do not see The GOP cutting the social safety net too much as America is in inexorable economic and social decline and growing numbers of Americans are homeless or dependent on social security, disability, and food stamps. MAGA base are displaced white poor and working classes fucked over by the last two generations of neoliberal economics, with declining wages and standard of living. If the GOP answer is warned-over Reaganism it will pay a heavy price in the midterms. Austerity policies will doom the GOP.

The corrupt system parties will probably be able to cobble a coalition but AfD will
likely accomplish their best electoral results ever becoming the largest opposition party in the process.
